Don't Get Lost
Make sure that you print a good map to your rental location. If you are at all unfamiliar with the location, do not hesitate to contact the client and confirm your directions. You do not want to get yourself off on the wrong foot by getting lost. Always leave for a job with a full charge on your cell phone, just in case.
Give Yourself Plenty of Time
Arriving a bit early is a good way to give your client piece of mind. Also, you never know what sort of challenges you might run into and when you give yourself a little extra time, you will be able to eliminate any possibility of stress.
First Order of Business
When you arrive, be sure to find the person in charge, or the person who is renting your princess bounce house for sale. Introduce yourself and be sure to ask them what they had in mind for the set up location. You will not want to assume the set up location without a discussion with the client unless it is clearly indicated on the reservation form. But even then a clear confirmation is always a good idea.
Inspection is Important
You will want to have a good assessment of the location where you will place your bounce house. Remember there are things to consider that your client may not realize. Look for a flat space that will be large enough, and you will want to avoid low hanging branches or phone lines. Look for tree roots, rocks or branches on the ground that could interfere and potentially damage your bounce house. You must be prepared to be firm as you will ultimately be responsible for any injuries or damage to your inflatables.
When you encounter a location problem, you could possibly find that the client will resist because they had other plans for the safer place you are suggesting. Just remember to act professional and explain that safety must come first.
Check for the Unknown
Check with your client to see if they have any irrigation systems placed in the ground before you start to place your stakes there. Whenever it is possible, you will want to secure your cheap commercial bounce houses for sale on a grassy area. That way you will be able to secure it firmly with out obstacles. Avoid sloppy areas.
Placing the Bounce House on Asphalt
When you place a bounce house inflatable on asphalt, you will always want to place a tarp underneath the unit. An inflatable can easily slip away from the tarp and it is important to make sure that it is checked often and adjust it back in place if necessary. If you will not be attending the event, then make sure that the client is aware of the importance of checking it every so often. This will of course cut down on the wear and tear of your inflatable bounce house.
By placing some rope on each corner, you can make to easy enough to pull the unit back into place.
Be ready for electrical Issues
Before you start to set up your bounce house, you will want to test the outlet that you are going to use. Many times, outdoor outlets are not working. You will want to have a plug tester in your tool kit. This is something that you can purchase at any hardware store and will save you from setting up, only to find that you now have an electrical issue.
Try to stay within 50 feet of the outlet, but be prepared just in case with extra cord. Make sure you have your cords secured, so no one will trip over them.
Inspect the Setup, Go Over the Safety Issues
Once you have the bounce house set up, do a walk around with your client to insure that the unit is in acceptable condition and that there are no safety issues. Point out any stakes or sand bags that you have placed to secure the unit. Signing off on this is a good business practice. Make sure that they are aware that the blower must stay turned on in order for the bounce house to remain inflated.
If you are not attending the event, make sure your client knows the importance of adult supervision. Do not just assume that they will know all of this. Be sure to ask your client if they have any questions and make it a good business practice to get them to sign off on their clarity.
Good Customer Relations
You will want to keep in mind that often times your client will be stressed out do to the nature of producing an event or party. You will help your client by being the calm one.
Make sure that you are clear on the pick up time and give them a little extra time to clear out all of the attendees. This will also make your job easier not to have to fight your way through a crowd and will also help you to avoid any parking issues.
