Bounce House Sanitation and Cleaning

Bounce Houses can be breeding grounds for bacteria. Whether you are renting a bouncer, own your moon bounce, or have an inflatable rental company, make sure the unit is kept sanitized and cleaned. If you are renting, you are depending on the rental company to take the necessary steps to insure the rental equipment is sanitized and clean. If you own your jump castle for either personal use or as a business, below you will find the steps we use when cleaning our inflatables.

Step 1

Inflate the small indoor bounce house for toddlers. Once inflated, enter and remove any loose debris. After any debris is picked up we sweep out the unit, including the pillars and netting.

Step 2

Once the inflatable is free of debris and dirt, we begin the sanitizing process. We were turned on to a product many schools use to clean their gymnastic and wrestling mats. It is call Matt-Kleen and can be purchased in concentration by the gallon for around $55. This is very powerful and can be diluted to make around 60 gallons. Once we mix our formula we spray down the moon jumpers inside and out, pillars and commercial bouncy castles for sale floor. Simply wipe clean with a dry rag.

That is all there is to it. For a commercial bounce house, 13' x 13' or 15' x 15', can take about 15 minutes. As a rental company you have to make your company stand out against the competition. The bounce houses you rent are your calling card and the best way to get both repeat business and referrals. A clean and sanitized inflatable product can make the difference. Do not ignore this process.
